Random Alien space girl

These types of things seem to be all I am capable of drawing lately..lol >.< I dunno why..probably because they are easy..

Soooo just some random sketches from another sleepless night.
I like to draw girls with funky shapes..like exaggerated curves or just interesting like poses I don't know lol >.<

Yes she is... :)

She used to do a lot of art work for Golden book and I believe she also worked on Disney's sleeping beauty.She had amazing talent with color..This is my drawing of a tree inspired by her..though I doubt she used Photoshop ha ha..I'm pretty sure it hadn't even been invented yet :p Click Read more to see the autumn versions of the trees :D

Sunshine and relaxation

It has really been gorgeous out lately! I'm really enjoying the awesome weather. :) Spring is such a reminder of how God makes all things new! So, as I said earlier I spent one of these beautiful days outside sketching in my moleskine journal. I found my journal! So I can share some of these sketches :)  (to view the others read more)

Sweet and Spicy Gochujang glazed Chicken Drummies

 Ok..So this doesn't exactly fall under the category of "drawing"..but cooking can be considered a form of art..Right??ha ha 
  Today I pulled out a bag of Schwan's breaded chicken drummies for lunch and I thought.."how boring".  
   As I was thinking of a way to spice them up a bit I remembered this really yummy dish with a gochujang flavored sauce. I thought it would taste really good with chicken!

  I couldn't really remember the recipe off the top of my head so I improvised a little bit and came up with this :) .
  I call it sweet and spicy Gochujang glazed chicken drummies. It is definitely spicy so if you don't care for spicy food this isn't for you. 
  I've never posted or shared a recipe so if it's hard to follow please let me know!The recipe was made for myself so it's only meant for about three drummies.
  This would be a good quick lunch box addition I think :)

Bubble Gum and Lollipops

Again, only words I could think of. I have to get better at giving a title to my posts :p lol
Well, it's been a pretty uneventful week. Which means.....time for drawing! It was so nice outside the other day. I sat out on our old deck (wich now seems to serve as some sort of platform in our backyard ha ha) and drew. Just different things I observed, like pieces of wood or a tree. The only problem is it was so nice that I fell asleep! It felt so good to be out for so long. I'm so excited for more awesome weather! I just hope Minnesota isn't a tease and gives us another nasty April snow storm. That would be just cruel..
I'd love to show you the sketches from that day...However, I lost the journal i was sketching in :(  It's around here somewhere I just need to look for it. Until then, I shall use some older sketches that I've never posted before. How about that? hit read more to view the pics :)

New Layout

I thought I'd try something that suited me more. 

So I switched to a layout that I could use my own banner :)

The banner is a cropped image of a painting I did not too long ago :)

Earwax and gumdrops

Those are really the first words that popped into my head. I'm horrible at this blog thing..I always feel like I'm writing to myself. Most likely because I am.. :p It's not like there's anybody reading this. ha ha. It just feels a little self indulgent. Anyway, back to the reason I am here. Drawlings! hur hur hur.
